I really think you'll be happier with decaf from a small roaster. The suggestion I offered in my first post is a great one, sure it's a bit pricey. Also, grinding your beans fresh in a decent burr grinder for consistency makes a huge difference as does the temperature of your water. If you keep looking you'll find the smooth cup you're looking for.
