300e sunroof, seal it or fix it?
When I bought my 300E a few months ago, the last owner had the sunroof held on with:
- a few metal strips under the front of the sunroof panel attached to something
- and the back side of the sunroof panel was free to flap in the wind (which it did). And there's a block of wood up there too, don't know why.
It's a real shabby job and it makes the car not highway worthy.
The motor is still up there because I touched the button and I could hear it. I found a local person with a 300E parts car and he's willing to sell all of the sunroof components for $100. But I'm at the point where I think sealing it is the better option.
Please any advice would be helpful. Thanks.
