Well I think I found the problem (don't like it very much) but I believe both motors are shot.
I tried analysing the problem with the best method for American cars...by beating on it with a hammer, and the motors started moving "slower than molasses on a cold winter morning"
The motor made this thwoop, thwoop thwoop sound then stopped.
