Takata Recall Hits Mercedes

MB is recalling 840K vehicles in the U.S. due to potentially faulty airbags produced by Takata.

Mercedes-Benz Recalls 841,000 Vehicles for Takata Airbags - News - Car and Driver | Car and Driver Blog

Affected vehicles include model years 2005-2014 C-class, E-class, GL, ML, and SLK. The SLS-AMG is also impacted, but I think most of us are pretty safe on that front.

Drivers of w211 diesels can now stop fighting over whether the om648 is superior to the om642 and start arguing whether either car is safe to drive.

On a serious note, the w211 has 8 airbags. Does anyone know if all airbags are part of the recall, or only the driver/passenger front airbags?
