If you have paperwork that says its a 61 that may easily mean that it stood around on the dealer's lot for 2 years waiting for a buyer and then it sold in 61 so the DMV called it a 61. That happened often on an expensive car back then when every state had its own rules on paperwork and no computers helped us get things consistent.
