Do you need a hobby? My model trains cost me more than I could ever get back out of them.

Professionally, I don't know but maybe one or two or those cars that are worth more than $5000. A rebuilt engine done professionally will cost that. A lot is labor so its a prime candidate for DIY hobbying.

They were nice, powerfull cars that didn't handle particularly well and had marginal A/C and heating systems.
