I have the 3.07 behind my 4 speed. First gear is a little short, and I think a 2.88 would be nearly ideal. I don't tow. With the 2.47, I'd be concerned about towing, and also about losing top end in 4th. With mine right now I can get to about 108-110 in top gear. Best of all would probably be a 5 speed with the 3.07, but those are hard to come by.
