We're agreeing on the trans. My suggestion is that you have a transmission shop look at it before you buy it. They'll give you an actual diagnosis and at least a rough estimate of the repair costs. Might be an easy fix but like Mxfrank said, it might not. Guys who do this all day long have a much better handle on these issues.
