There is no way that they are going to hammer the ball joint out on this vehicle. I used a standard ball joint press on my car with a little help from some other hand tools. The joint is pressed in at a slight angle and can be difficult without some type of press. They will damage something. Most would recommend sending the arm out, which may require a coil spring compressor.
