W211 E320 CDI Cabin Filter Housing Plastic Tabs

Replaced the cabin filter on my CDI today. The filter housing came out easily. However, I noticed that, on the sides of the part to which to housing attaches there are two plastic tabs that have broken off. The housing is snugly in place...secured at the top and by the 10mm nut in the front.

I don't when whether I broke the tabs (I suspect not) or the PO did. I can't see that it matters a whole lot that they're missing. Any thoughts?

At the 2:03 mark in this video you can see how it's supposed to be done. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86DoaeQsgj4 Wish I saw this video BEFOREHAND.

My mistake was watching this video....I think this guy's tabs must be broken too! Watch out easily it comes out at 1:25. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwzERTj7fm0
