However if another part in the transmission fails, the customer will say " I just ( 80,000 miles ago ) spent $ 850 to have my transmission entirely rebuilt and it quit working, rip off shop, I'll sue! " Some customers sometimes see the transmission as a single monolithic part not _the_ car's most complicated device in terms of design and operation.
