Every car I have ever owned with a Bosch fan has required that it be replaced regularly. My '96 will need it this summer. My old '85 190e needed 2 during the time I owned it. On the other hand, no Japanese car I or my brothers have owned have EVER required this part to be replaced (I had a Honda the I bought new with over 500,000km over 10 years that never had a problem with the fan). I have always had my fan running at all times, in all cars. I can't quite uinderstand why the Bosch ones are so short lived.
