I have a 1981 380SL. My transmission is on its way out...grinding in reverse, flare during up shifts and not kicking down. My questions is can I buy another 380SL transmission from a newer 380SL. I noticed that the part numbers are different . The 1981 model year has a part number of 722.304 and the newer ones are different
