It's been a while but I seem to remember you should only have ONE drip within 30 seconds. If you are getting a steady drip every .75 seconds you are quite a bit off.

Nah, the jiggle and pry method is the only one I've used.

No need for adjustments once it is initially set so why have any type of vernier adjuster? It is a "set it and forget it" kind of deal. Unless you change pumps or rebuild the engine the timing won't change. Or have some wise-acre who thinks he knows what he is doing moves it.
