I just want to be sure you are solving the right problem. You said you are finding "clear antifreeze" in the back seat carpets. Could it just be water? My rear window seal leaks and I get water where the back seat carpets lay.

I am no expert, but the method you describe (I think) will be stymied by a rain shield over the fan. I think that is why exterior access to the fan is so difficult. The normal procedure involves removing the center console (I think).

I will poke around to see if I can find any detailed procedures, and post again later.
