I had one of those! A prince of a highway car. I had almost no issues with it until my second daughter plowed it into a block of concrete hidden in tall grass. End of car.

It did suck mightily in town though. The acceleration was abysmal. But once accustomed to its sluggardly ways I learned to drive it like an aged grand duchess.

I highly recommend w124's for learning drivers. They have steel and inertia on their team. I'd put a w124 against a modern Suburban for city accident survivability of driver.
