I used to have a dog, Caesar. He was 1/2 Lab, from an award winning show dog, and his mother was 1/2 German Shepherd and 1/2 Greyhound.

He was pretty big, with long legs. Man! was he fast!! He was all black, except for a white collar and chest. So he wore a tuxedo his entire life.

The Lab in him meant he loved the water and so he got the hose treatment often, especially in the summer. Like someone else said of their dog, he had a nice scent to him even if he wasn't bathed recently.

He was a birthday gift in 1976 and lived to about 14 years old.
