Ive been sifting thru the glove box on my 85 300d thats been ignored for awhile ,it has quite a healthy record of oil changes and other records of Maintenience.The oil changes are very impressive ,the date of service ,the mileage and it follows around every 500 miles from the first owner at purchase in 1985 til it was sold in 2004 .The 2nd owner followed suit and had put a few more miles til 2006 ,it know holds at 308k miles and just starting the motor tells me the records are true to the write ups.Im going for a compression test soon ,I wouldnt be surprised at a near new test result.It seems no ones hacked any items under the hood also ,a factory correct snap shot under the hood which is a rare thing itself.
