I'm lucky in that I live in a mostly rust free area so I can only own 30 + year old vehicles .

Since September I've been driving my 1982 240D W/ slushbox tranny, 360,000 miles and a worn out engine and tranny .

It gets 27 MPG in town and 30 ~ 32 on the open road ~ I just came back from three weeks driving 'round The Navajo Nation and loving it .
