Unfortunately I am at the Library and don't have access to my notes. If this is a chassis W115 there is a free site that has the Manual. However, right now someone else will have to provide the site.

By the way. When I first got my Mercedes I was desperate for information and I bought the Service Manual on CD for about X2 what Mercedes was selling it for. However, I have never regretted that because having that manual has saved me lots of money. The free site is the same but once in a while the free sites disappear although that has not happened for several years.
Later I acquired the actual Books. The Books have more clear pics and for a W123 there is more info in them then is on the CD.

Note for a W123 the CD that I bought back in 2007 does not work on a 64 bit system.

There als0 should be some threads on the job concerning removing of the Timer and the Timing Chain Tensioner Spring in the repair links.
