You might have to on a W201, I didn't have to on a W116 or W123. All he probably did is loosen the transmission crossmember, which is like four 13mm bolts. If you want to rent the tool, it's available as I've found it lol. I'd go ahead and replace the shifter bushings on all of your Mercedes if you rent it. The bushings are like $2 each, two per car, there's also clips, like $1 each. Just shoot me a PM if you're interested, I may not be able to send it out quite yet as I may have another car to do here soon.
