As for colds and flus, whenever I feel something coming... itchy eyes/nose/throat, I do a nasal rinse with warm salt water and also gargle with same. I have not had a cold or flu for 3 winters now by doing that. In years past, when I forget to do that, I have had bad colds. You know about washing your hands after touching things and not rubbing your hands on your eyes and nose? That is one way germs are transmitted.

Cleaning Nasal Passages With Salt Water
Thank you for the advice, I'll try out your suggestions on the 617 diesel and report back. Interesting you would mention the Neilmed sinus rinse, I've used it for the past five years with great success. I do it in the backyard because I don't want to spread any nasal infection into the bathroom sink!

Years back a company called Enzymatic Therapy had the world's best product for allergies. They called it Aller-Clear and believe me, it WORKED! It worked right up until the FDA decided that the pseudoenphedrine was "dangerous" and a "health risk" because some moron "might" use it to make meth. Another well known product, Drixoral was available at many retailers but also bit the bullet over the pseudoenphedrine witch hunt.

The FDA sent a lot of nasty-grams to Enzymatic ordering them to put the brakes on Aller-Clear which finally resulted in the demise of this wonderful product. Not to worry, the FDA has killed off many other natural products which worked really well for allergies in similar fashion. BIG PHARMA rules, the rest of you guys hit the bricks!!!!
