I once got a half tank of water from a diesel tank. It was a real problem. Being winter the water froze into a large mass. I took it to a garage where they played a salamander against the area where the fuel lines come out until they could drain it. Unfortunately there was still a large mass of ice on the other end of the tank so it soon became inoperable when exposed to the cold again. So I had to take it in again and get the rest melted out.
