Yes, I used a mirror and found out that the power output (big wire) is attached to a alternator by a 8 mm threaded connector with a lock-nut and is covered with a plastic cap. I finally had the alternator disconnected and unbolted from the chassis. Now I having another problem: how to get the alternator out of the engine compartment. From the bottom are cooling hoses, transmission hoses, chassis crossing bar, and other metallic parts from body of the car.
From top are vacuum pump, ABS system, and other lot of parts in my way. In the pics,please see the alternator at the bottom. It is a big Valeo alternator.
I don't know exactly what else I need to remove from top or bottom to have it out of the engine compartment.
