Hello all
I just towed my car 500 miles from the UP of MI to Grand Rapids because it will not go in gear. I was backing up in a parking lot in the snows of Marquette, put the car in drive and nothing. It goes into P and then is in neutral if the linkage is in any other gear.
Is the oil pump gone on the transmission?
I have a manual out of a 240D but did not get the driveshaft. I would love to get rid of the auto and have the manual. Can I do this without the shaft from the other car? Would it even fit on the 5 cylinder?
How much work is it to fix the oil pump on the tranny if that is what my problem is?
