I can't believe this is being debated. What ever happened to a country when you could buy something bigger/better than someone else? Environmentalists have no right to tel me what kind of car I can drive. Ever since this ANTI-SUV movement I want as many SUV's as possible. I read an article the other day saying that a certain kind of pine tree puts out emissions! Environmentalists say that it is "natural pollution". How retarded must they be? They will do anything to get their message heard, especially Hollywood.
Most of the Hollywood people who have gone against SUV's have SUV's of heir own!

The afternoon after reading 4ndelit's post about buying a minivan I happened to be stuck in stop and go traffic. I was behind a minivan, a Chrysler Town & Country model. Visibility around, and over it, was NOT any better than visibility over and around my wife's Yukon. So much for the "blocking my view" argument.
And what about pick-up truck? What about jacked-up 4x4 truck? I mean, the "visibility" argument is totally meritless in light of some many other bigger and wider vehicles out on the road.
The gas economy argument is equally invalid. 4ndelit's 450 Benz averages about 15 mpg. It carries only two people. That means that it takes 0.5 gallon of gas per person to go 15 miles (premium fuel only. My wife has averaged better than 16 mpg with a full load of kids and gear (that's eight people). That works (assuming only 15 mpg) to 0.125 gallon of gas per person (regular gas). So which vehicle is more efficient?

I'll tell you what, if you are willing to buy my family a safe, comfortable, fuel efficent extra vehicle, then I promise that my wife will drive her Yukon only when she ABSOLUTELY, COMPLETELY, DEFINITELY needs to drive it.
