first off, delete one of your posts, you posted 2 of the same thing. second, re-read my post, I'm not sure you read everything before making your comments. I clearly said "It is currently my everyday driver because I don't have the money to buy another car, and if I do sell it, I'm sure it will be driven less that it is right now, thus lessening the impact on our environment. I will be driving a more efficient vehicle everyday, and all will be good." I have no choice, and am stuck with the SL, like it or not (I do like it though). It does not take premium fuel... you're sadly mistaken. On top of that, I am a college student who lives at home, so the most I will need to drive ever are me and my backpack, no kids for soccer games or anything like that. As far as minivans, they are smaller than many SUV's I see around here (you don't see any lifted minivans, there are plenty of lifted escalades and yukons), minivan lights don't glare right in your eyes like SUV's do (I especially HATE the new hummer H2 and the new Land Rover's ), and I never said a jacked up 4x4 was any better (don't know where you got that from). As far as an extra vehicle, if you will buy me a 190E, I'll gladly drive that as my daily commuter and keep the 450SL for meets.
