Bluetecs have AdBlue, which I really don't hear about many problems with. The oil cooler thing is labor intensive but a member here put up a really nice DIY, while time consuming it looks totally doable.
What no one wants to talk about as we drive our CDIs around and talk about what complicated messes the bluetec cars are... bluetecs do not have SBC. Something to think about.
