Smashed up coupe!!!
Have to vent. I had a mishap in the 300 CE today. Smashed up the left rear corner pretty good. Its not totaled but its gonna need some significant repair work and is likely down for a few months at least. It was totally my fault. Took a 90 degree turn onto a bridge that I've done dozens if not hundreds of times. Today was wet and cold and at the apex of the turn the rear broke loose and spun me like a slingshot into concrete. Left rear tail light smushed, bumper broken, left rear quarter panel pushed in about 3 inches and the wheel is bent and the suspension geometry is way out. Not so bad I couldn't drive it home at least.
I've got a good body shop that owes me a favor, but nowhere near this big of a favor. Looks like I'll have to sell my Yamaha FZ1 to fund the repair and likely max the credit card.
If only this was an April Fool's joke.
