I bought KYB single tube shocks for the front of the old F250. Single tube gives you bigger pistons, more square inches of hydraulics. They were a huge improvement over the old worn shocks.

Pricey, but compared to what people pay for trucks these days I can splurge on everything and still come out ahead.
