So, I still haven't come up with a good scanner but I will probably take the car to a different indy to get their thoughts on it. Meanwhile, I compiled a little table showing how and when the car acts up. Maybe this will inspire some ideas in people who may have seen this before...
Symptoms seem to be very much tied to engine temp. Perhaps some sort of sensor is to blame? I theorize that problems start once the engine warms up enough to enter closed-loop mode.
