I got my new coupe in yesterday and had a bit of time in the shop today to get a baseline of what I've got. First the interior is gorgeous. A few cracks in the wood and a meh steering wheel is all that keeps it from being a 10. The exterior is pretty nice but it has its issues. There is paint work in the right rear. It isn't the best job but could be a lot worse. The untrained eye probably wouldn't even catch it. The clearcoat on the decklid was well documented and wont be a big deal to have fixed. There's a dent under the left front turn signal but this also isn't too bad and the crease follows the body line so its hard to spot. I know one of the best paintless dent guys ever and I'll have him take a crack at it. The engine has a few issues. The alternator is noisey, but I have a spare. The fuel system is showing its age and I'm planning to swap my fuel distributor with EHA along with the injectors. There is a coolant hose under the intake manifold that is a nightmare to replace that is in poor shape. This was documented before the sale and as so was expected.
My big brakes wont fit under the stock wheels and the monoblocks I have ordered wont ship until july. The transmission is in nice shape and will be offered for sale when I get my 722.6 swapped over. One thing I didn't expect was the 3.27 rear gearing. It has the large diff just like the 91 but the 91 has 3.06 gears. I'll have to see how it feels with the overdrive and the 3.27s The quaife diff I want will not fit in the 3.27 diff so eventually it will get the 3.06 gears but if the 3.27 seem too high I may swap it before the quaife goes in.
