I do not know about your rack. We did buy a few cars for resale and I did give the wife a very low milage focus to drive. It felt to me like they designed the steering to feel like a heavier car. So that may be the sensation you are feeling. I did not mind it. Heavier and less agile in the middle area I would consider a not unusual description with no play.


If there was anything I liked about ford focuses and their reputation at that time. This would have been about it. Just test drive a ford focus to see if I am right. I suspect they would not have changed that feature over the years.
