I did my replacement about 3mo ago...it was really straight forward in reality. Plenty of youtube videos around for M272 intake manifold replacement.

My only tip is ignore using a bunjee cord to keep the new intake gaskets in place. Just install the new ones, and use a small dap of superglue where it "snaps" in, and it'll hold it in place perfectly fine.

Replace the knock sensors ($20/each), replace injector o-rings,
inspect cam magnets and cam position sensors for any leaks and just replace them if so.
spin pulleys, especially idler pulley
check oil cooler for signs of leaking
