Try resyncing the remote to the car.

Point remote at the door handle receiver.

Press the remote button 2X

Insert key in ignition and turn to run.

Remote now should work.

The other way to test remote batteries is to press and hold the button, the red window on the remote will blink if the batteries are OK.
