If you've still got your old pump, you can pull a used DV from that. Use the entire assembly (holder as well as internals). Take some time to really study what you've got to do and what you MUST not touch. Screw this up and you may need another IP or mess up an injector or two.
Thank you, that's outstanding and may well be my issue. The symptoms are sooooooooo similar.

Just got off the phone with the local Bosch service center, the delivery valves for the 617 are still available new, nearly $50/ea. PN 1 418 512 008. I have DV crush washers on the way, but at that price for DV's I'll be verifying mine are bad and possibly scavenging some out of my other IP before replacing them. Although even at $250 for the full job, if I could have paid that two years ago and had this done, I would have done so HAPPILY.
