Bushing on Transmissin Linkage on 1993 MB 300E
I have had no luck installing replacement bushing on transmission linkage connected to NSS The bushing was missing. I also noticed that there are two slots for installing replacement bushing and the lower one is relatively easier. As I recall the linkage was connecited to the top slot. Since I am unable to install the bushing to the top slot, is it OK to install the bushing to the lower slot instead? If yes, do I need to make adjustment to transmission linkage? Will this change cause problems? I am unable to install the bushing in the top slot due to less clearance for the tool my several attempts and different approaches have failed repeatedly. Once the bushing is installed, what steps do I need to take for installing new NSS and for making adjustment? This is my first time. I would appreciate any help in this matter.
