The argument this guy makes is basically that we shouldn't keep cars for as long as possible because 1) our short-attention span, disposable-mentality selves shouldn't want to, and 2) car manufacturers and government regulators really want us to "turn over the fleet" despite the fact that the enormous burden of cost would fall squarely on us. No thanks!
