Buying these cars as drivers makes sense, especially (maybe only) if you can do the work yourself. They're rugged and parts availability is fairly good. I bought my 190DT with 107K miles, now it has 413K. Driven every single day, and the preferred car for long trips. The 3.5 engine has a poor reputation, but if you can squeeze 100K miles out of it, it's half the price of a new Japanese car.
