I rise to share bad news. Those springs are hard to come by. Pelican doesn't have them and none of the other usual suspects that I've tried have them either. Today I went to our friendly neighborhood Mercedes dealer and the parts guy told me there are 6 of those springs in the nation. Five at one dealer, one at another, both on the east coast. The springs are about $10 ea.

I haven't ordered them yet, I was hoping to get it done before next Thurs which was his estimated arrival date. OTOH, I might not have my splined socket in my mail box before then anyway.
