i think my 280e engine is needing a lot of work. I was wondering if anybody has any links on a v8 in the w123. there is a 1975 450sel in the junkyard here with only 110k miles. I can get the entire engine and transmission for 200$. im pretty sure I would have to grab the 116 rear end as well . so my question is has anyone here done it or have a good link. in the next few weeks I will do a compression test on my 280e and see what it says. I have seen articles on chevy ford and the 5l benz engines but none from a w116. id also like to keep the manual transmission if possiable from my 280e
