Things were going great until ...

Finally get get a great deal on a 300SD. Clean up the pressure lines to the alda to get it running right. Adjust the bowden and lube the linkage to get it shifting right. Clear the underhood drains and sunroof drains to cure the leaks. De-mold and clean up the carpeting. Install a stainless exhaust. Replace the guide rod mounts and align the front end. Put new Yokohamas on it. Replace the broken window switch. Give it a scrubbing. All this results in a clean, quiet, reliable, safe, quick car that doesn't look like it is 19 years old, gets 27 mpg and is not an embarassment in the driveway. Not perfect, but on it's way. Then I let the wife drive it. She won't give it back. Says I can keep her Town Car.
