the fancy way is a pin removal tool but unless you do this a lot, it's a bit pricey.
there are different diameters. works like a syringe.

so far, i've rooted around the garage for a suitable metal straw and occasionally
luck out.

p.s. oh sorry, I only referenced the round pin connector tool. there are flat ones in
the pictures/link, too
