Unless you have the MB spring compressor. It does not work well with the after market rental unit.

When I replace the front shocks on my 91 300E. I did use a spring compressor on the left side, but I did not use one on the right side.

Here is what you do need. Replace the shock mounts and rubber buffers along with your shocks.
