You got good advice, but you should know that if you pull that pin out too far, one of the timing chain guide rails will come loose and cause some serious problems unless you first pull the valve cover and chain tensioner to get everything back in place.
I just thought that you should know how important it is that you NOT pull the pin out very far.
Secondly, I have NEVER seen one of these leak significantly. It might could leak a tablespoonful per 100,000miles. I would just wipe it off every once in awhile and sleep well.
