If someone would reveal the best lube for a window regulator I'd be delighted. The interior is removed from my car and the regulators are greased with white lithium right now. Unless someone tells me something better that's what I'm going with.

I just went through all of my window regulators and went back and forth with what lube to use. I only had the car for two days and one motor died by my own hand. From what I could tell it died from massive resistance caused by the old dried up grease in the tracks. Before lubrication it of course ran better bone dry. Made me wonder if everything was operating in a more teflon type of dry lubricant would it do better long term. I packed the metal on metal gears with NLGI #2 grease, sprayed the tracks with 3M dry silicone spray lube then sprayed a coat of lithium grease. Also added a section of plastic film to the bottom of the windows which basically lays over the whole mechanism when the windows are up to hopefully prevent washout from water passing through.
