he's definatley right on that one, I have a '78 450SL, and it's seen 135 (gear limited). The speeding tickets are right too, I've had two in 12 months (and took traffic school both times!), one for 64 in a 35 and one for 80 on the freeway (kinda lame... all san diegans do 80). the 450 is quite a powerfull motor, especially on the highway when it's in it's power band.
