I paid that guy either $149 or $169 + shipping for the 90/95A alternator. He had it on Ebay already built, perhaps that is why it was cheaper. This was back in 2015 if my memory accurately serves me.

Did the VW Quantum/Audi 4000 not have the same type of alternator as our cars but rated at 70A?

Do you have a local company that can rewire your current unit to a higher amperage?
