In my opinion the m112 V6 is easier to service sitting in an engine bay designed to fit an inline 6. Try replacing the water pump on either engine for example. The only thing that's kind of a pain on the M112 is the rear most spark plugs. The V6 weighs 100lbs less than the inline 6 and that weight sits further back in the chassis. There's no head gasket issues, no VVT, no complicated intake manifold.
