Gotta say having both a gasser and a diesel in the stable I've come to some conclusions. The 199 560SEL is heavy and rides great. That said, it is a more complex car than the diesel...more stuff to go break and go wrong.

IMHO, the beauty of a mercedes diesel is its SIMPLICITY. Easy to work on, less stuff to break....all in all a great deal for the owner!
